DeLeoThe new PanTouch line of digital photo frames feature a touch-operation interface, letting users control the frame with a simple touch and swipe motion.Discuss this now (1 posts)Pandigital on Wednesday announced its new PanTouch line of digital photo frames with a touch-operation interface. Icons on the screen will show users where to touch and slide their fingers on the surrounding matte for control and access to their digital photos, MP3s, and video clips. Touch-screen devices (like the Apple iPhone) aren't typically smudge-free, but Pandigital claims that its PanTouch frame matting can resist fingerprints in the viewable area.The PanTouch line is comprised of three models that are all Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-compatible, so users can transfer photos to the frame via a Wi-Fi connection or sync the frame with a Bluetooth-enabled phone.click on image for full viewThe first model is the 7-inch PanTouch Digital Photo Frame, with a 482-by-234 resolution and a widescreen 15:9 aspect ratio. It features 128MB of internal memory for image storage. The next model, the 8-inch PanTouch Digital Photo Frame, has a 4:3 true photo aspect ratio, so your photos won't look distorted or cropped on the screen. It features 512MB of internal memory and a resolution of 800 by 680. Most appealing to photo enthusiasts and high-definition adoptists, the 10.4-inch PanTouch High-Definition Digital Photo Frame offers 1024-by-768 HD resolution, 512MB of internal memory, and a 4:3 true photo aspect ratio. All three models feature 6-in-1 memory card readers, standard and mini USB 2.0 ports, programmable on/off times, clock, calendar, alarm clock functions, and a unique "convenient page turn" effect that lets users view their photos by making a forward or backward swipe motion on the touch matte."Our goal in designing the new PanTouch line of frames was to make them so simple to use that the consumer would never have to refer to a user manual," said Dean Finnegan, CEO and founder of Pandigital. "The new PanTouch user interface is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. It's the perfect complement to the frame's sophisticated, upscale look, incredible image quality and popular extra features such as ample internal memory, multimedia support, and WiFi compatibility."Pandigital's new PanTouch line of digital photo frames will be available in May.
